 Condado de SequeirasCondado de Sequeiras was started in 2003 by a group of friends who were interested in showing off the quality of the old vines in their small home town. The winery, located in the small parish of Camporramiro, Sequeiras (Chantada), lies inside the D.O. of Ribeira Sacra and produces mainly wines from the red Mencia varietal but is also developing white wines based on the Treixadura and Godello varietals. Their fruit comes from 8 hectares of old vine (80 yrs old) micro-vineyards situated on very small terraced banks along the valley of the river Mino. The team is very focused on quality and as such is only planning on producing around 8000 cases annually.  |
