Type: Young White

Tasting Notes: Young, green and light color. Pleasant notes of mineral, honeydew, gooseberry and lemon on the nose.  As on the nose, the palate is crisp and refreshing with mineral and citrus tones. Fantastic with seafood!

Other Notes: Made with a blend of Hondarribi Zuri (white) and Hondarribi Beltza (red) grapes that are harvested in small containers at peak ripeness and fermented in stainless steel. Before all of the sugar has converted to alcohol, the stainless steel tanks are sealed off thereby trapping some of the naturally produced CO2 in the wine providing a refreshing sparkle!

2005 Hondarribi Beltza (red)

Type: Young Red

Tasting Notes: Wow!  Aromas similar to Cabernet Franc but distinctly different.  Sweet floral fragrance with notes of pomegranate, red and black pepper and hints of ripe blackberry and raspberry.  On the palate the wine is reminiscent of the white Txakoli:  light, spritzy and high in acid but not astringent.  Notes of raspberry and black pepper on the finish.

Other Notes: Truly a one of a kind wine!  Made exclusively with the rare Hondarribi Beltza grapes. Less than 100 cases imported.
